Our self defence session in November seems to be drawing a lot of attention with a number of ‘non-members’ making enquiries as to the nature of the workshop!!! We hope to see some new faces in attendance as well as you veterans.

Monday saw Tim San true to his word as the 1st Dan Kata was indeed finished! And despite previous comments as to the length of this epic Kata, when it all gets moving it really is a sight to behold. Special mention here to Dave San (probably the only black belt besides Tim San that knows it all the way through!!) who is making a really good performance of it. Excellent work by all in attendance on Monday night, its finally all coming together.

And Wednesday evening had an excellent vibe with everyone working hard toward gradings. Some good, strong performances beginning to emerge now from all grades. Our Aikido-Te and Bushido Karate students alike had a lot of focused attention on this night with many of the usual teething problems of the syllabus being ironed out by Richard San, Tim San and Tor San while Graeme San ran through some self defence techniques with a new student, assisted by Sempai Andrej.

To finish the session, Tor San took the main class while Graeme San and James San got a syllabus grilling from the fourth dans!! Their kata work in particular is looking very sharp.

Our parting shot for this week is ‘practice – practice – practice’
All your hard work is really paying off so keep it up and we will…

…see you in the dojo!!
