This is a great time for students who are grading, they now know their stuff so it’s all about performance and looking good, and that was certainly true this Monday night!

Great kata performances from Mark San, Sempais Ben and Andrej and from Dohigh Chris.

Weapon performances were well covered by Nick San working towards his Brown belt in sword and Dohigh Jose who is improving in leaps and bounds with the Nunchuka.

The whole session was finished off wonderfully by a display of tandem work and a ‘spontaneous problem solving’ session which has helped boost confidence across the board.

Wednesday night saw the proof of this with students seemlessly moving through heir syllabus, managing to cover slight mistakes with artistry and poise.

Once again all students faced the dreaded ‘arena’ but nervousness has now been replaced with confidence and an avid keen-ness to perform. Seems there’s no holding them now, we’ve created monsters!!!!

The plan at the start of Wednesday evening was to finish with some partner training work, but performances were looking so good, with everyone keen to strut their stuff, we quite literally ran out of time (again!)
