Another week of non-syllabus bliss for the Wisewarrior Training team and boy did we make the most of it, not a kata in sight!

Wisewarrior Training

What, no syllabus!

Richard San set the tone this week with his Monday night session working on flowing hand routines that rapidly progressed into some pretty full on knife defence sequences. This was quickly followed by an off the wall sword lesson that had the sword students working on some nifty stance work with tight control.

Tor San was the star of Wednesday nights activities, he lead the black belts through a variation of the flowing hand patterns from monday with a whole routine based around making the practicing of blocks and strikes a continuous event between partners. Alas poor Tim San couldnt help himself and took the class through a different variation which, true to form, got rather complicated rather quickly! His resolution for 2014 (as was last year’s! ) is to keep things simple – that might last a week!

Its the last session this coming Wednesday so we look forward to seeing you all there for a definite syllabus free night. The team have plans to ensue we go out with a bang! Bring more water, cos its gonna get physical.

We resume training as of Monday January 6th but remember, this first session back is a Black Belt only night so normal training commences on Wednesday the 8th.
