Stop Press!! Grading news!

Well folks, that’s yet another National Grading over – and another great set of performances from the Cheltenham Dojo with excellent passes from Dohighs Matthew, Nick and David, we have our fine new Sempais; Will and Chris, not to mention the great weapons performances from Dohighs Uday and Jon. Congratulations to you all on a job well done!

Both Richard San and Tim San agree that some great work has been done in the dojo but your progress is as much due to your own personal practice as it is your efforts in our weekly training sessions. There is a distinct difference between training (your lessons) and practice (what you do at home), you need both to really excel in martial arts!  So to help you get the most from your training; Tim San and Richard San have begun making regular posts to Facebook and Twitter to give you more information about allied aspects of your  training; such as fitness, hydration and diet. The thrust of this weeks discussions has been to do with physical fitness, and if you’ve missed any then please visit our timeline on our Facebook Page. There will also be a run down (or ‘catch up!’) of the weekly posts in our Spotlight/Class Review every week. Check it out as there is some very good advice from many sources in there!

Again well done on the gradings, but the feedback from the examiners is; better fitness is required from all the students! So our new postings are very relevant if you wish to achieve the best from martial arts and become a high grade and/or….be healthy and fitter!  And we are here to help with all that!! 🙂
