Well, we had the last part 1. gradings to do on Wednesday night before the National gradings on March 4th, and it all looked really good! Especially  Kohigh Jose who passed that night impressively after only a month’s training! Although admittedly he is making full use of our standing order payment system, and has been training three times a week since he started, which equates too some 10 weeks of normal lessons! There’s a man getting his money’s worth! So a big congratulations to you all and to the students who showed us their excellent display of weapon Kata for their upcoming gradings.

Only ten days left to get some practice in, so please be careful of all your furniture at home with your Jo staffs and those nunchaku flying everywhere!!

The big news of the week is that the venue for our Kobudo Seminar has been confirmed as the YMCA again, and the seminar will be from 2 until 4 pm on Saturday the 31st March. keep checking the Wisewarrior Events Page for more info.

It’s another FREE seminar for all wiswarrior students, this of course will include all the new people attending the very successful Monday evening Combat Club and the Tuesdays Swordand Aikido Class. In addition to this we have some more exciting news for the Monday Combat Club, which we will be posting here soon. If any of you have any friends or family that want to attend this Seminar they will be most welcome, unfortunately we can’t offer this for free as they are not members, but we are giving a great discount! So family and friends of Wisewarrior students will be able to attend for only £10!

And plenty of notice to our demo team, we have been asked to run another workshop for a local company, and may well be needing a demo as part of their event. We’re still working through the details, however everything is looking good and we expect the event to take place in the middle of April. Hopefully this may lead to you all being able to get in even more training without any additional cost. So watch this space as there seems to be loads going on all of a sudden!

Remember to all our students who pay by standing order, regular private training with either Richard San or Tim San is a feature of this offer, so some of you might be interested in the knowledge that Tim San has now acquired some private training rooms in Gloucester, important knowledge if you are hoping to grade for blackbelt this year!

And finally……

…..and unusually, on a completely non Martial Art front we wish Dohigh Jon good luck for this Saturday, we all have our fingers crossed and will be following your progress on twitter. If anybody doesn’t know what we’re talking about then please have a look on our links page at what this very talented individual has been up to in his spare time, when he’s not been learning wrist locks and arm locks!

Congratulations to all those who graded.

Running through the Yellow Belt Aikido Kata with Kohigh Jose did more than refresh my memory of the partner forms!
