And we’re back!!

After a couple of weeks off it feels sooo good to get back in the dojo!

Monday night saw Dohigh Uday and Dohigh Wayne enjoying the intricacies of the Purple Belt Aikido-Te Kata, great to see Dohigh Wayne back at the dojo again. First Tim San took the pair through the first section with a lot of attention to posturing and balance. Meanwhile Richard San took the sword students through their paces with a high-grade sword lesson focusing on powerful combat inspired cutting strokes.

In the second hour our dynamic duo switched roles as Richard San took the Dohighs through the rest of the Purple Belt Aikido-Te Kata and Tim San moved on to the weird stuff with the high grades! This week he continued the Aikido theme with some near effortless techniques that had the Sens a bit baffled at first but once they got the knack of it were having a great time!! Best ask the Sens for the low down as I doubt Tim San will be running that session again for a while.

Wednesday saw the first interview of the year, and as always they were shown a mixture of Aikido and Karate type movements with our format of tried and tested exclusive private training system. On that note look out for our new posters coming out soon, we hope you can take few home and find some public wall space for them somewhere?!new poster mk 6

In the mean time it was more syllabus training with the Dohighs, ever keen to get stuck into their next Kata after their recent grading success in December. A thanks to Mark San who ably stepped into the top assistant role with Tor San of with a severe bout of Sen flu! (twice as bad as man flu!)

Remember as personal students you are welcome to both Monday and Wednesday nights and even give sword a go, which is at 6.45 every Monday. These two nights are shaping up into a couple of great sessions that really get to grips with the finer details of the syllabus, and we look forward to spending as much time as possible with each student individually, making it this amazing atmosphere to learn and master these great subjects.

Lastly we would just like to offer Dohigh Jon our best wishes for a speedy recovery from illness, the poor guy hasn’t trained since storming his Blue belt Aikido grading in December! Get well soon dohigh.

See you all in the Dojo!!
